Longhill is home to six cheetah and seven elephant, whose Kruger and Phinda Game Reserve genetics are known for their larger size and impressive tusks. Leopards pass through the area, but there have been no leopard sightings on Longhill. For the full Big Five, guided drives into Addo Elephant National Park are available separately.

Yes. Longhill Reserve is located in the Eastern Cape, which is entirely malaria-free. You can enjoy a full safari experience without the need for malaria prophylaxis, making it ideal for families with young children, pregnant guests, and those who prefer not to take medication.
Longhill is home to seven elephants with Kruger and Phinda Game Reserve genetics, as well as six cheetah, giraffe, zebra, sable antelope, wildebeest, nyala, kudu, impala, blesbok, resident meerkats, and over 180 bird species. Leopards pass through the wider area, but there have been no leopard sightings on Longhill.
Longhill Reserve is approximately 45 minutes by road from Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). We can arrange transfers on request, or provide detailed self-drive directions. The drive through the Addo area is scenic and straightforward.
Dining arrangements can be tailored to your stay. The Bush Boma dining experience can be arranged in advance, and our reservations team will be happy to discuss the available options when you enquire.
Absolutely. Longhill is malaria-free and one of the most family-friendly safari destinations in South Africa. Game drives are open to all ages, and the private nature of each lodge means families have their own space without disturbing other guests.
Our all-inclusive stay rate is R3,499 per person, per night. It includes accommodation, all food, drinks, and local Longhill game drives. A minimum stay of two nights applies.
Yes. Longhill is designed for exclusive-use bookings. Each lodge is privately positioned, and we can arrange for your group to have the entire reserve to yourselves. This is popular for family reunions, corporate retreats, and special celebrations. Contact our reservations team for exclusive-use pricing.
Longhill Reserve is a year-round destination. Winter (June–August) offers excellent game viewing due to sparse vegetation and mild Eastern Cape temperatures. Summer (November–February) brings lush green landscapes and newborn wildlife. The Eastern Cape's malaria-free status means there is no 'bad' season from a health perspective.
Yes. Longhill Reserve is approximately a 27 km drive from Addo Elephant National Park, making it easy to combine a private reserve stay with the national park's broader ecosystem.
